This year, we raise a glass to two extraordinary milestones. Ten magical years of our Caringbah Salon and the sparkling first anniversary of our Surry Hills home. It’s more than a celebration of dates on the calendar,  it’s a heartfelt tribute to our tribe! Our dedicated team, our cherished clients, and the incredible partners who have believed in us, supported us, and helped us grow into who we are today.

To Surry Hills, our journey has been one of vision and connection.

Last year, after much anticipation, we unveiled our beautiful new home in Surry Hills, born from the exciting acquisition of the iconic Barney Martin salon. As a tribute to Barney, we became Bixie X Barney for 6 months before full transitioning to Bixie colour Surry Hills 

The salons are more than just a space, they're creative hubs alive with the energy of Sydney’s most passionate hair stylists. Bringing familiar faces from Caringbah  to Surry hills to mingle in a light filled, heritage space where ideas flow as easily as the coffee and Aperol spritz.

Our success is also a testament to the powerhouse partners who inspire and champion our craft.

REDKEN // with their unwavering support and education, has fuelled our artistry. I ( Sheree ) became a Redken Artist and ambassador, connecting us to a global community. I will forever be grateful for this life changing partner ship that is now family to me.

From my earliest days as a colourist working with icons like Jennifer Hawkins, to creating a salon culture that redefines the industry, our heartbeat has always been our team. We’ve built a space where mentorship, shadowing, and in-salon education flourish. Welcoming the Barney Martin team into the Bixie family has been the ultimate affirmation of the culture of care, respect, and continuity we hold dear.

To every client who has trusted us with your hair journey – you are the reason we do what we do. You’ve driven across suburbs, shared your stories in our chairs, referred friends, championed us online, and filled our days with joy. You’ve helped us grow not just as a salon, but as a community rooted in beauty, confidence, and kindness.

As we step into our eleventh year at Caringbah and our second year in Surry Hills, our promise to you remains the same: to innovate with creativity and precision, to nurture our team and clients with warmth and authenticity, and to treasure every moment we share.
