Our Surry Hills hair salon has a familiar face stepping onto the floor. We’re excited to introduce Tamika, our newest Emerging Stylist at Bixie Colour Surry Hills.

Tamika is currently in the third and final year of her hairdressing apprenticeship and is transitioning into the next stage of her career. After developing her skills alongside the Bixie team, she is now taking appointments for a selection of colour and styling services.

Sitting in Tamika’s Chair

Tamika has received hands-on colour training from Bixie founder, colour educator and Redken Artist Sheree Knobel, learning the techniques behind Bixie’s signature blondes, dimensional colour and beautifully blended results.

Her education in cutting and styling has been guided by our talented salon educators, Stephanie and Helen. This strong foundation means every appointment combines Tamika’s growing talent with the knowledge, techniques and support of Bixie’s most experienced educators.

For Tamika, hairdressing is all about helping people feel confident and happy when they leave the salon. She has a gentle, thoughtful approach, paired with a funny, genuine and down-to-earth personality that makes her so easy to sit and chat with.

Clients have been requesting Tamika for their hair washes and blowdries since the early days of her apprenticeship, which says so much about the care and experience she creates in her chair.
